Butter fly

by farrah   Feb 22, 2006

Walking through the fields
running my fingers through the grass
hoping this memory will last
and never ever pass.

It is summer and sunny
i feel happy but strange,
Like you are flying
in my tummy.

With soft delicate wings
you flew through the wind.
I was hoping to catch you
but doubting my powers.

You landing on a flower
pausing for a moment.
As the wind wiped through my hair,
i sat there and stared.

Your colours on your wings
reflect my expressions,
You stand out from the green grass
and the clear blue sky,
You are the pure delight.

I could stay here till night
But i know i have to go
to let you fly,
Then with one delicate leap
i see you leave..
I\\\'m tying not to grieve.
