Escaping

by Sorefromreality   Feb 22, 2006

My callused fingers
slip around the knob of the door
i frantically try to escape
i don't wanna suffer anymore

i hear steps coming
i throw the door open
as i run thru
i hear in the distance, another victim choking

screams pierce the air
as i make my departure
i pray that unlike them
i will not be captured

i am now sprinting
across the cold ground
as i hear another cry
i know another poor soul has been found

i speed up even faster
then i hit something going full force
i fall to the ground
and look up in immediate remorse

u stand before me
with an extended hand
bend down to help me
but i got up and ran

Ive been trying to avoid
the one thing i ran into
the thing i have been running from
happens to be you
