I saw your face today

by boerebabe   Feb 26, 2006

I saw your face today,
the hurt you hide away.
the words you say yourself,
you break away yourself.

if there's only something,
if there's only one thing.
i'll give you back your smile,
and take the pain a while.

for you i only wish,
something worth to cherish.
for you i only pray,
something worth to stay.

for you had hide for years,
all those hurt and tears.
that i saw today,
and man it ate away.

but this i promise you,
and this will stay so true.
one day he'll see you for you,
just han gon to something true.

i saw your face today,
it hurt me to say,
the words you say yourself,
just remember this way.

i will always be there to hold your hand.

*i wrote this to a friend that open today for the first time of what he want after his relationship with his dad stopped - may all your dream come true my friend.*

I feel this is a good poem, and that it has much potential, but, unfortunately, i do feel it is lacking. the story is good, but i feel that the problems lie within the stanzas. i feel that maybe the stanza are a little too short. but hey, if you read some of mine you'll soon see i don't know what i'm talking about.
