She Weeps...

by Tho   Mar 5, 2006

For one fixed moment in time,
She saw the world,
In one short gaze,
And she strove to pierce the armour,
That bound her against her will,

Nothing but the silence greeted,
Looking downward among the boughs,
She shivered seeking constant warmth,
Amid the coming night time winds,

But the whole world is so dreary,
Each day passes with the next,
Growing tighter the ropes that bind us,
Are yet an unsolved mystery,

She wakes amid a constant slumber,
To silence in the wakening room,
The voices of the one that warms,
Is nowhere to be found,

She weeps for something,
We know not what,
The aching seems to bind,
She lays her face between her hands,
And weeps until she dies.
