Scent of Friendship

by Mel   Mar 6, 2006

I stop as I sniff
A glitter of the past
The scent of friendship
That will always last

The essence of hope
The smell of fun
I can only wish
They will never be done

The smells bring back the memories
Of all the time we spent together
The lunch room, the playground, the bus rides
I wish it could have lasted forever

As I sit here the smell drifts away
Leaving the memories behind
The memories that will always remind me
That in you a true friend I will find.
