I started to see

by Ashley   Mar 8, 2006

Standing here like a fool
I begin to realize,
just how much of you
I should despise.

I've held on
to so many of the good times.
Like the betrayal, and selfishness
were just "on the side".

Now I'm starting to see,
just how much of me
you've shown you care nothing for.

Just how much of my heart,
and soul,
you've thrown to the floor.

To think, I still wanted to know you.
After all you've said, and done.
After all the times I,
put you as number one.

Thinking you'd do the same?
HAH!
What a pathetic game...

As if you'd meet me halfway,
like you had an ounce of love,
for me, who was there for you,
still left in your blood.

You've shown me so clearly,
that who I am is not enough;
You told me I will always matter,
stupid, I fell for your bluff.

One thing is true,
'Some things are still sacred'.
For, you could never look into my eyes,
and still feel your blinding hatred.
