Stain Glass Dream

by Tony Blades   Mar 9, 2006

Tears of acid run down my face
Skinless trails left for your fingers to trace.
Dancing upon all my shattered dreams.
They cut my feet, as wounds they sting.
I'll make a window with the blood-stained shards.
Shattered-silence, heaven falls hard.
So beautiful all will look as they pass,
At this window of dreams, made of stained glass.
What gore-made reflections its beauty does cast,
My window of dreams made of stained Glass.
They all see it as it slips through my clutch,
I\\\'ve reached out so far, but never far enough to touch.
Mocking the pieces of a silent past,
The acid cut shards.
The blood-stained glass.
A window pain of blood and grief,
I look upon it, for a moment, can\\\'t breath.
Wrap the wounds my treasure pricked.
Try to cool where the flames sizzled and licked.
My stain glass dream is all I have left,
And I must give it away to pay my soul\\\'s debt.

(The words \\\"window pain\\\" are spelled this way for a reason. It\\\'s called a pun. Get used to it.)
