Filled

by Samey   Mar 14, 2006

Emptiness fills the silence,
Life slips through the cracks in the walls,
Just breathing kills the mind,
Drains us of all colour resembling a shallow existence,
Once needed, now hated,
Loneliness fills the emptiness,
Curled up in a corner, locked in hearts embrace,
Trying to see that which is so valued,
But means nothing to the mechanical,
We only see that which is in front of us,
Ignorance fills the loneliness,
Unaware of all that surrounds us,
Life waiting to be lived,
But death seems more welcoming,
At least to those living the dead mans life,
Surrounded by pointless meaning,
Loved by superficial cuts,
An intoxicating remedy to the world so vague,
In the end we are all but blurred lines wanting to be bold,
Yet we just fade into the bigger picture,
That there is no use in fighting the current of lies,
That floats from a withering gods mouth.
