Him

by Brooke Mason   Mar 14, 2006

His perfection transcends my fear
The depths of his heart I have searched
And all I find there is tranquility
It's power, the cause of my thirst.

The core of my being yearns to know
His lips make the promises he must
But I fear the truth lies deeper within
Beyond the wall between us.

He is beyond the boundary of my reach
I cannot return to that time
The vividness of memory pulls my heart
As I sample the sweetness of his skin.

My obsession clutters my thoughts
It's trauma bleeds into my life
How can I pretend to love what I've become
When I cannot have the only one I want?
