New Days Toast

by Lenny   Mar 16, 2006

Flares of red,
Strobes of light,
Flickering glimpses,
Through the night,
Bursts of color,
Luminous glows,
Radiant beams,
Trace and grows,
Shafts of light,
Gleam and hint,
A distant glimmer,
Incandescent stint,
Peeking beams,
Joist warming heat,
As light splays down,
To a clement beat,
Resplendent warmth,
To dizzying roast,
As fiery orb rises,
To new days toast,
Soon land is painted,
In peaches and reds,
And those of the night,
Burn their beds. . .
