The Death of a Friend.

by Jackie   Mar 16, 2006

A lifeless body lay on the street,
The breathe of air is out of reach.
Cars drive by, and do not stop.
She lay there calmly, just as she was taught.

A demon persuaded her that night,
While she held her heart tight,
To take a blade, and slit her wrists.
She had to, she couldn'tâ??t resist.

Friends on the sidewalk now looking with sorrow,
"She will be in hell," they said "by tomorrow."
But there were few that refused to think,
That their precious friend would leave their link.

They prayed to get her into heaven, then.
The demon yelled "STOP" and counted to ten.
The girls prayed on, and the demon got mad.
Then he looked at the girl, and knew they had.

As she wait for the devil to take her away,
She sees a white light, in the distant hay,
When an angel comes down, and says "Come with me,
A demon you are not, and now never will be."
