My Heart Will Take Flight

Laying around with nothing to do,
wishing to God that I had you

You'll never know what I feel inside
Though asked how I felt I have always lied

You'll never see the hurt that I live through each day
You would never believe the pain I have felt, I'm sorry to say

You just don't understand, you simply don't get it
While you talk of girls and dates, I feel like through the heart, I have been hit

Every time I see you I pretend not to care,
but what you never see, is the love I have there

In my heart i have hidden a picture of you
I try not to think of this love I feel true

So at night when I go to bed and turn out the lights
I'll pretend you are mine, and my heart will take flight.
