Cumquats and Other Refreshing Fruits

I saw your picture today, it`s in my mind`s eyes
A smile that could lighten any room
Your blondish mane, wind blown in a wild frenzy
Warning suitors of a certain doom

Penetrating blues eyes that can see right through
Any old lines a guy could dream of...
A glamour shot is what you called it
Though your beauty does not quite explain enough

I am fortunate to know you from the inside
Through many laughs and tears we have shared
My bad jokes and stories have filled many a night
The 42 different shades of fuchsia in your hair

A few people may find this poem corny
If this is true, than may it be so
But I wanted to tell you my lovely friend
You are a tough act to follow

My thanks to you and your positive flow
You have been here for me in countless ways
Inspiring me to write certain things
I will never have enough words to repay

So here is to you Miss Holly
As I affectionately refer to you
I hold in my hand Vampyre red vodka
A fitting tribute from my point of view.
