This Ring

by william payne   Mar 20, 2006

We've spent the last year
800 miles apart
Thats more that enough strain
To break any heart

We've had our moments
Both good and bad
But when temptation comes knockin
I just look to my left hand

- I look at that ring
- And think of what it means
- And just like that
- I know where I'm at

- And i tell her I'm sorry
- But i have to refuse
- Cause this ring reminds me
- Of what i have to lose

When i go out with my friends
And we get to drinkin'
Don't you worry darlin'
About what i am thinkin'

I'll never go so far
To make you say goodbye
Cause your love means more to me
Than any one night good time

- Yeah i look at that ring
- And think of what it means
- And just like that
- I know where I'm at

- And i tell her I'm sorry
- But i have to refuse
- Cause this ring reminds me
- Of what i have to lose

thanks for reading, tell me what ya think....love ya hunny
