For Sonja (Part 34)

If I could take a moment and make it last forever,
Turn the pages of my life, back to chapter one, where it really began...
If I could find the words I would speak them, then I would not be such a fool.
Still can't believe how I have laid all my trust in you.
Can't believe how you took my heart so casually like a true professional.
Tore it into bits and strew them into an ocean with no horizon.

If I forgave you for all those lies you told, If you had never realized.
All these feelings I have inside, would I be lying by your side?
Now things have become even more obscene, you are going to marry.
Spend your life without me, die next to a man who loves you less.
Am I going to be there when you give yourself to someone else?
Can I bear standing in front of you with tears, not of joy or sorrow but of despair?
I sometimes wonder if your putting me to the test, courage is just holding on that a minute longer.
