Serenity

by Amanda   Mar 21, 2006

Sweet serenity in your arms,
Sheltering me away from harm,
Keeping me from devastation,
Always helping and always patient.

The gentle hand to a tortured soul,
Keeping me in place and control,
Though you didn't always agree,
You helped with the problems involving me.

I remember saying I would come back,
From my memory that does not lack,
For this promise I intend to keep,
Your impact on me has become so deep.

Do not forget my promise to you,
For time will tell that it is true,
Forever yours I intend to be,
So long as I'm held in serenity.
