I lay my head down at night, and gaze through the window,
I wonder where you are now, what you're doing,
I feel so warm and calm and safe, thinking about you,
Though I miss you so much, I know you're there for me,
And I'll always wake to talk to you in the morning.

I imagine it's you next to me, and smile,
Thinking of how lovely it'll be when it really is you,
I squash my pillow all night, trying to feel you,

When I wake up in the morning,
I see the light shining through the window,
See the beautiful sunrise over the mountains,
And I wish you were here to see it too,
Because it reminds me of you, so beautiful.

Every song I listen to now,
Reminds me of you in someway,
And when I sing along to the words,
They make me see you in my mind,
And I know you can hear me if you try.

I turn the lights off and gaze into darkness,
And when I close my eyes I can only see your face,
And it brights up my night, and helps me sleep,
I dream of you holding me close and loving me,
And whispering your gentle words in my ear.

I feel your breath on my cheek, as I awake,
Only to find its the breeze from my open window,
You make me feel so warm inside I don't feel the cold,
I don't feel the pain anymore, don't want to cry,
Because I know you're here, at least in my heart.
