For It's You

by Stacey   Mar 22, 2006

I think of you at sun rise,

I think of you at sun set.

You cause my teary eyes,

For it's you I'll never get.

A person can not be possessed,

Wish I could change that fact.

Although I have confessed,

You knew the truth- before, to be exact.

I think of you- day after day,

I think of you- night after night.

There just has to be some other way,

Another way that could be right.

It hurts too much when you're not here,

I see your face everywhere.

Yet it's so clear,

Why can't you be my teddy bear?

For when I squeeze it- hold it tight,

I sense your warmth- your gentle heart.

Why can't you see?

We're meant to be.

It's written in the stars- and it's shined by the sun,

I know it's true- for now every day lacks all fun.

I want you here- but you're over there.

I love you so- you are my world, my entire life.

I know you care,

But there's always strife.

Why is it always from 'me to you'?

Can't it ever be from you?

I guess I just don't understand,

The mind of a guy.

I just know I want to hold your hand,

I'll give you anything you can not buy.

I can give you love and hope, and dreams and fun, and tears and joy.

I think of you at sun rise,

I think of you at sun set.

You cause my teary eyes,

For it's you I'll never get.

I liked this piece. i felt it was written with passion and thought. not much else i can say, other than i liked that way you used the same stanza as both the opening and closing stanzas.
    well, see you around, maybe
