So sad and so wonderful, especially loved the stanza

"People trying to paint me black
Each stroke a darker shade of blue
Get them off of my back
I want to be a lighter hue"

    Awesome write!

My mood is black like the sky
Tears well up in my eyes
If I were a bird, I would fly
    Escaping the pain filled skies

I think I'm going to refer to you as 'Bill, Master of Words'. Nice ring to it, huh? (lol) No seriously your words flow so well together, and they really hit home for me. Sadness sweeps the nation, and those who read this feel the pain subtly hidden under the words. Truly the work of a master.

    Bill,

Sorry I have not commented on your poems in a while, I hope that will change. This is such a well penned piece, but sad and melancholy.

    Best regards,

    Steve
