Don't Come Back With My Heart

by ailsa ailie   Mar 24, 2006

Where is the boy when he's needed the most,
He has my heart and he's holding it close.
Boy that glass heart is going to break,
Taking it was your first mistake.
Please don't let it bleed for you,
I won't be there and you won't know what to do.

Put out your hand; let me see what it holds,
See this moment take it back to its home.
Now give me your hand and I'll give you mine,
Cradle my heart now; we're losing time.
How could a love like this be true,
My whole life I've waited for you.

It's getting late and you have to go,
Give me my heart now, just let it go.
You close the door and you go inside,
I'll close my eyes and hope the tears hide.
If this is your love; tell me what to do,
Because feeling this way, to me is new.

Please boy come back with my heart,
I'll trade you anything if you don't tear it apart.
You give me a smile and you say no,
Who would have known your love you'd show.
Just keep it safe for me tonight,
Promise you won't let it out of your sight.

You open the door and hand me a box,
Afraid to open is the feeling I fought.
I pull on the strings as my breathing stops,
For whats in the bottom is worth a lot.
That's when I smile and my tears start,
I'll love you forever, just don't come back with my heart.
