Surviving the fears

by Belinda D Wall   Jan 26, 2004

Lost in emotions, she reaches for the door
Trying not to cry anymore
Feeling the loss of love, she sighs in pain
Knowing she'll never hold him again
Driving down an empty, endless road, she recalls his embrace
Then the look of sadness in his face
Arriving to her destination, she wants to pick up the phone
But passes by and sits in her room alone
Coldness from the night reaches out to caress her heart
Never to leave, for in her it will always be a part
Sun stricken, she rises and hopes it was all a dream
Realizing it wasn't, she could only let out a scream
Tears streaming uncontrollably, she wipes them away
And again another falls, finding its way
Surviving the fears, she'll hope to move on
Trying to accept the fact that he is gone.
