Friends, important, but mortal

by Tripp   Mar 26, 2006

Wow, not sure where the hell this came from. i was just listening to music and before i knew it this had been written down...yeah. sorry about that crappy title, i couldn't think of anything else. so yes, please comment. criticism is good

Friendship is a bond everlasting, forever withstanding

constant blasting from the world

for my friends I will do anything without a thought

and nothing in return I got

But I like it that way, friends help friends when they sway

It's all a friend has to be, to be there whenever they need them every single day

Bearing the onslaught of thieves and liars, mere thorns and briars

in our side, wading through life like it's a mire

that's almost true, because the sky is not always blue

and sometimes the one you need to turn to, you don't know who

And as friends around you drop, and disappear - gone

life goes on...

Great poetry - though you could find a better structure. I liked the meaning as well, and the title isn't all that bad :)
