To Find True Love You Must Go Through True Pain...

Remember when you were little
all the dreams of being in love
just like all the girls in the movies
loving your prince charming
and to have the feeling of him loving you back

i always thought i would find my love
and life would be complete
there would be nothing else to worry about
and all things would just fall into place

my heart was young and blind
it didn't know that it would eventually be filled
with pain and lies...
from a love in the past
and also from love that was to come

not everything is promised
not love or even life
you cant sit and worry about love that will come
you cannot go and look for it
when it is ready and true
it will eventually find you

for some it comes sooner then later
and for others you just have to
sit back, relax and wait a while
yes sometimes it may seem like it will take forever
but it is so much better for you and your heart
to see what will come without planning...

not every guy will bring you happiness
not every guy will bring you joy...
it might seem like they will give you the world at first
but give love time to grow
don't rush it...
just because the beginning seems great
it doesn't mean that it will stay that way permanently

true love will come to those who wait
and when it comes you will know when it is true
and directly from the heart

a guy that truly loves will show you off to the world
he will be proud to walk around with you on his arm
you will be his pride and joy
you wont have to question him
and ask if the words he says are true
trust me you will know it if he means every word he says to you

but just remember...
some might even mean it
and you might push them away because your scared
of what a past love has put you through
never punish anyone for pain that someone else gave you
not every guy will hurt you like the last...

I've learned that the hard way
now i am fine and i except that my time to find love might not be right now
who knows
maybe it will come tomorrow or a month from now
i am just going to have to wait and see
and that is just fine by me
but it will come one day...
and when it does
i will know the difference from my past heartaches

i just look at love so differently now...
and Ive realized now more than ever that
...to find true love you must go through true pain
but i wont punish love or push it away because of my past pain
I'm just single... and i plan to relax and enjoy the ride
