Love\'s curse

by daniel cooper   Mar 28, 2006

Love is one complex emotion
One minute you are waiting at a station
As a train comes rolling into town
Then you are falling for the woman
Who you bumped into on the tube
It is like walking on clouds
The world seems so bright
You are feeling like everything is alright
The birds sing as they fly across those now cloudless sky eyes
That you have gained
Better work hard to keep it
Or you will regret it
The fruits will go sour and you will be unhappy
Birds will leave the bees well alone
They know when things are naturally sound

It is horrible when love goes wrong
Some turn to drink
Some to drugs
The sky begins to change colour and crumble
Big clumps of it will strike you down
And you will be left always in a frown
You feel so hurt
You get bad ideas
Of being the only one ever to suffer from loveâ??s curse
The real fact is that it is so common
That there are people who are the same and feel so cold and alone
Late at night put your ears to the wall
And listen to all the lost souls
Who cry into the starry night
They are trapped by loveâ??s haunting ghost
Who seems to grin a grim smile
As it sets about making people sad
While even sometime causing them to kill
One man takes a gun
Shoots his brains out onto the wall
Another one kills his wife and then hangs himself
A pretty young girl views down from the city bridge before taking a leap
Bitter images before their eyes
They have lost something over time
And all suffer from loveâ??s curse
