I love this poem... it just really touched my heart and soul... in some parts its true... disfunctional familys... i guess maybe you got the idea for this poem from your own family... a friends family... or a family you heard about before. The world is going down... down... and pitifully fast... but the love is still there... maybe its slowly disapearing.. i dont know... and love hurts... but its definately THERE. anyways great write 5/5/5/5 -Jen-

Wow.. I really love this and it puts in perspective what is going on in the world these days. My favorite stanza was:
You have to smile
To keep from crying
You have to keep going
To keep from dying

It was long, but that was the beauty of the poem, it had so much emotional, so much pain and sadness that it needed the length to fit it all in. I loved it.
