The Ballad Of John And Elaine

by Sean Dohr   Apr 2, 2006

Born and raised in Brooklyn,
a man and woman were.
He had many options,
but he fell in love with her.

He was a hard worker,
full and part-time jobs.
A difficult childhood,
of his youth years, he was robbed.

She was a typical New Yorker,
I'm sure you'd all agree.
Oldest of five children,
as tough as she could be.

They lived just around the corner,
close enough to walk.
They fell in love instantly,
before they even talked.

A happy marriage they did have,
then and still today.
An irreplaceable connection,
a feeling that will never go away.
