April Rain

by Megan Jean   Apr 4, 2006

Pattering soft and soothing
Drenching your clothes
And soaking your skin
The warm drops roll of your hair
And fall to the ground
The warm comforting springtime rain
Brings with it the promises of a new day
A greener, sweeter day
Slow dancing in the downpour
Body pressed closely against your lover’s
The rain enveloping the two bodies
As he leans in and kisses her chastely
Her sense of foreboding dissipates
Her face is flushed, her breath comes quickly
So many nights of dancing in the rain
The warm April rain
