I thought of you today.
Wasn't your birthday or Christmas, no holiday at all,
But my day was extra special cause I thought of you today.
I saw your smile today; with dimpled cheeks I saw your handsome face
Beaming back at me and I felt lucky that you are now in my life.
No extra special day like a graduation or a wedding
But your smile lit me up
And I felt a warmth in my soul cause I saw your smile today.
I wanted you today
Wasn't hungry or anything
Yet I craved for you to be next to me.
To be just a hug away
So I can reach out and touch you
with the anticipation of a child expecting a gift.
That's how much I wanted you today.
So I had to call you today
And hearing you whisper in my ear was the sweetest sound I've heard
all day.
Hearing your voice today made whistling birds sound noisy
And symphonies sound crazy!!
But just speaking to you made me feel
Calm and serene
And lucky to be alive
Just so I could've heard your voice today.
Even for a moment.
You hold a power over me.
No explanations needed at all for this connection.
I am just basking in this sea of happiness
That I've been baptized in
When we first met
And don't want to come up for air
Unless I'm with you.

Its so sweat, the way you discribe that joy from first meeting, how the rhythem of the poem seems a bit bubbly in personality Its really good
