Intolerable

by Kayd   Apr 5, 2006

Carvings in flesh
let loose the river,
Crimson streams
of ecstasy.

Droplets covering the floor
walls, sink, mirror,
Everything staining
a solid red.

Pools of tears,
shattered glass and
blades lay tossed,
in the corner...

Covering the corpse
of a once felt love,
Which now rots
below it all.

Over hours were spent
planning such death,
smoked charcoal upon
white paper.

Plans of the unforgiving
scratches of pure truth,
Spoken only from the
mind and heart.

Now white to red
and red to black,
What was once light
is gone.

Cover the blood
cover the trash,
Then let burn the
intolerable pain.

This one was really good on your part. I could follow it all the way through to the end and picture your story played out in my head. Very powerful and almost chilling. Excellent poem overall. 5/5
