Where are you?

by Brooke Mason   Apr 6, 2006

I can't feel my heart beating
and my eyes are staring into the distance
I feel nothing
not even the blood touching my
motionless, lifeless fingers
Where are you?

My breath is long since lost to me
and my skin is cold and pale
I'm laying dead upon the pavement
the ground soiled with my pain
Where are you?

Tears stain my face, my pale, cold face
Rain pours down upon me
The life that once filled my eyes
is now replaced with the darkness of death
Where are you?

I have forsaken you, my love
I have left you alone in this world
But you aren't here
You haven't moved to save me
You haven't even tried
My love...where are you?
