Warbound

by Amber Batterton   Apr 11, 2006

Eclectic amnesia, like visions for the blind,
focusing on intellectual concepts and leaving true peace behind.

To be so strongly complex, though simplicity is close at hand,
its hard enough to acknowledge the truth, even harder to understand.

Why must we always punish for the failure to conform?
We bring such pain upon ourselves, then claim its simply to reform.

Such a hateful, pointless concept. It's such a powerful will.
It's as if we think the need to be dominant, results with the need to kill.

Murdering of the innocent is provoking hate, so what is there to prove?
Soldiers with their gun in hand, claiming hate is what war will remove.
