My friend, my love

Did you ever fall for someone you know you shouldn't
You tried to fight your feelings, but just couldn't
You fall deeper with each passing day
But try to hide it in every possible way
Hes only a friend, nothing else
At least thats what you keep telling yourself
An innocent glance turns into a stare
But you pretend not to care
Its not right for you two to be
Is that why you hide it, so no one will see?
How long can you pretend?
Keep lying you just wanna be a friend?
Maybe these feelings you can never show,
Because its wrong for him to know
You cant risk your friendship over this
So being his is an impossible wish
