America's Heroes

by Taeler   Apr 12, 2006

I kiss my momma good-bye
Tell her not to cry
I'm coming home
I tell her I'm coming home
Straighten my uniform adjust my hat
Say I love you she says I already know that
I finally understand
As she waves her hand
I'm her little hero she hails
And the ship sets it's sails

We stand proud we stand tall
We fight the good fight giving it our all
We do it for the hero's who paid the price
We do it for the hero's here at home who make the sacrifice
We do it because we believe it's the right thing to do
And if called upon we'll gladly give our life's for you

She hugs her son says I'll be home soon
And when you miss me look at the moon
Take care of daddy for me
Be the big man I know you can be
Till I come home
I'm coming home
She straitens her uniform adjusts the sleeve
He says mommy why do you have to leave
Can't someone else go instead
With tears in her eyes she just shakes her head
Trying to be tough as nails
And the ship sets it's sails

We stand proud we stand tall
We fight the good fight giving it our all
We do it for the hero's who paid the price
We do it for the hero's here at home who make the sacrifice
We do it because we believe it's the right thing to do
And if called upon we'll gladly give our life's for you

I salute all the brave men and woman, mothers and fathers that fight for our freedom... May God bless them and keep watch over them... They are truly America's Heroes....
