PaSt LoVe

I remember the nights we shared together on the phone.
It was just our voices echoing all alone.

I remember the things we spoke about.
As we shared all our feelings and thoughts aloud.

I remember your gentle voice telling me words I was dying to hear.
(I love you)
It took me a while to reply... but it was just due to fear.

I remember lonely nights I spent when we lost touch with each other.
I prayed to God for one more chance for us to have one another.

I remember the day you came back into my world.
I was so excited to hear that gentle voice once more.

I remember you telling me what I didnâ??t want to hear.
That you had found someone else to love and hold near.

I remember what I said to myself that I would do.
So, Iâ??ll hold onto the memories and keep our friendship true.

5/5 Sounds like a real love story. Is it true? I know often poets base things on real events, but if it is, I'm sorry.
