I cried myself to sleep last night.
I dreamed about the times we've had,
and how I made the biggest mistake of all.
Wanting forgiveness, but it was so long ago.
We could have had something much more,
but I went and broke your heart...
not knowing that it would break mine to.

I cried myself to sleep last night.
Wishing I could rewind the past.
I hate what I did with my life that year.
I hate how it affects my life now.
Turning away any guy who wants to get to know me.
I figured that it was because of what happened with us...,
but really it's that my heart still wants you.

I cried myself to sleep last night.
I am tired of replaying the same old memories.
I've been dreaming of how maybe someday,
we can make new ones and start over.
I'm sorry I've waited this long,
but I was afraid.
Thinking you were still upset with me,
I turned and walked away.
