Arabian Knight

by Munir Mezyed   Apr 13, 2006

Ravens howl in our dreams
We behold nothing around us
But ruin and destruction.....
We breathe smoke and the odor of blood
While hearing the bells of hate and vengeance
Ringing in the streets
O Arabian Knight
Has the dessert become so constricted to you..?!
Thus you abandoned the tenet,
Sold the sword, the pen and the horses,
And wandered around like a lunatic,
Looking for a place to rest and hide.
O Arabian knight,
The Arabs become a mockery of this time
They let the fanatics preach to them
Where are Ibn Khaldoun,
Abu Tammam,
Al Mutanabbi
Al-Khwarizmi
Al-Kindi
And Ibn Al Rumi
O Arabian knight,
Has not the time come yet for the people of Mecca
To believe and perceive the prophet's message
And to give up idolatry
