Distant Stars

by AsuraXMidnyteSun   Apr 13, 2006

In the twilight of the stars,
The white moon dances with the tide,
As brisk night winds soothe my soul.
I stand there in the black of night,
Alone and wishing for you.

Your radiant rays of beauty,
Lights the dark skies and heaven.
And your warm tender touch
Kindles fire in my heart.
Through summer's heat and winter's ice.
Springs new life and when autumn dies.

Without your love by my side,
My once bright world has darkened.
Our palms will no longer embrace,
And the sands of time torn apart.
Cascading tears of frozen rain,
Drowning me in sorrow and demise.

In the dawn of rising day,
The morning dew lusters in the sun,
As warm gales dry my tears.
I stand there in light of day,
Alone and wishing for you.
