Crying in the dark*

In the dark, all i see is your face
Though all around is empty space,
I hold on to my covers tight
I close my eyes and try with all my might,
Not to think of you tonight...

A tear rolls down my cheek and hits my pillow,
My face looks sad like a weeping willow,
Against my window i hear the rain
It cant reach me to wash away my pain,
So hear in the dark, i sit and cry
And you will never know, your the reason why!

It would all be ok if you were here,
If i was hugging you, holding you near
Lying with you on my arm,
You sleep, i wont let you come to any arm.

But heres the thing that tears me apart,
What will eventually leave me with nothing,
But a broken heart...

I realise and my heart begins to crack...
I love you in a way, i'll never get back
