Just Another Day

by Delia   Apr 14, 2006

Sometimes I think it will be a new day.
You'll come up to me and tell me that you love me.
You'll say you're sorry for keeping me waiting.
You'll promise me that I'll never have to be alone again.
Then I'll jump up into your arms and you'll kiss me.

I spotted you walking into school.
I thought this was it, a new day.
You were walking toward me and a huge smile lit up your face.
Then you walked right by me.
I turned around and there she was, looking perfect as always.
You went up to her and told her that you love her, that you're sorry you were late, and promised her that you would never keep her waiting again. Then she jumped up into your arms and kissed you.

I guess it's just another day.
