Fly

by WithYouForeverAndAlways   Apr 18, 2006

I went window-shopping today.
Out of all the
Clothes and boots
And hats and trash
That money could buy,
There was only one thing
That truly caught my eyes,
A tiny winged creature
Named Fly.

When I started to converse
With him,
Off he trekked to a
Sunrise spat,
Where he could speculate
The matter,
And could then medicate the latter,
And off I went
In search of a tiny winged creature
Named fly.

Though I searched empty hearted for days,
I suddenly realized the way
To find my friend
Was to think fly thoughts,
And no matter where I went,
What I did,
All of my concentration
Became only miscalculation,
In search for my friend that was
Named Fly.

Finding nothing,
I went on my way,
And out of this entire world,
Where was my pal
Named Fly?

Rounding the corner,
I bumped into a man
Who had a rose in his hand
And as he gave me the flower,
I felt his power.
But where was the creature
Named Fly?

His eyes were funny,
And his hair thick black.
I had to look back
Only to find
That his name was the same
As my tiny winged creature
Appropriately named
FLY.
