Longing for You

by Amanda   Apr 18, 2006

I thought I'd be alone
without anyone to kiss
I guess I still am, tho
I can't yet say you're my own.

When the phone rings, I always grin
I love to hear your voice,
I dearly wish you'd call now
So I can hear you laugh again.

You always capture my heart
With a simple "hello"
And when you called me "sweetie"
I felt a thumping start

I sit and think of you
Scott's tired of me already
Everytime we are chatting
All he hears is "Drew"

How you blow me away
without even trying
and to be honest, hun
it doesn't matter what you say.

When you are talking to me
I feel so very special
I long for the day
when it's you I get to see.

We've never even met
I've never gotten a hug
One kiss from you
And, baby, I'd be set.

I'd like to tell you the honest truth,
but right now, I'm far too shy.
What would you think if I said
For four years, I've been in love with you?
