Memories Unmade

As I search for a reason
to go on to tomorrow
I see your face and smile
although I feel grief and sorrow.

I remember all the good times
and sometimes I think of the bad
Thinking of yesterday makes me happy
while tomorrow makes me sad.

What can I do with my future
with all those plans we had
If I do have children
You won't get to be their dad.

When I go to Greece
and see the ruins there

or hear your laughter in the air.

I can hear your whisper
and feel your penetrating stare.

I tell you I love you
and I know you love me too
Our love doesn't end with death
because our love is true.

Never will I forget you
and you'll always be with me
I'll love you always
even past eternity.

Just give me one more wish
That you'll fullfil your promise,
To meet me at the gates, baby
With a warm wet kiss.
