These long Days Without You

by Shantell   Apr 18, 2006

You would spread your big hands and place them on my back.
You would spread your long arms and secure my life with them.
Your heart would beat energy into my spirit while your lungs breathed vitality into my soul... Your face came along and beauty is what it bestowed. It gave me a gift that will live on forever.
Cause when you embrace me, forever is what I take with me. And the crook of your neck is where I rest.
Hair straight and swirls growing on your chest. Light brown skin under your baggy clothing.
A warrior of pain is what the creator has been molding. ready for war, love, and more.
Working under gloom, hoping for doom, dreaming of a new day...
Beautiful is all I can say.
Walking on eggshells. Living in hell on Earth!
Joy being dispersed. . .
And you spread your love to me and only me.
And you have eyes for my skin until the end. Your lips taste for mine.
Shadows of my memory lingering time. Eyelashes waving away pain. Smile keeping me from going insane. Smiles filling my empty space.
Lips burning yet soothing and scarring my face...
These days, these long days without you.
