I Love You More...

by Danielle   Apr 22, 2006

Though you said you love me
And your touch does say it all
Lips mashed, whispering lovely words
I can still smell her on you

We walk along together,
Perfect to the outside world
The sun is setting in, and the view is unbelievably beautiful
But I can still see her in your eyes.

You said you love my silky hair
The way it spreads on the satin bed in the morn,
The way it moves along in the wind,
And I wondered if her hair is like mine.

I wake up everyday, staring at you
Asking myself if this is true
Your being with me, all the time
Do you actually think of her?

Once you were painting on your canvas
I brought in for you some coffee and muffins
You smiled and said "Youre the best"
and when I hugged you
I could not stopped thinking, did you say that to her too?

In my bedroom, there are your t-shirts, pants, boots,
The bathroom has your razors, your toothbrush, your gels
While the kitchen holds your mugs and favourite fruits
If I were to go to her house, can I find them there?

Today, as always, before you leave,
You kiss my cheeks and say
"I love You"
then, I follow you with my car,
like a sly cat waiting to pounce on a mouse

Behold, there you are at her house,
You knock twice and she opens, flinging her arms around you
You say something I cannot hear, but then I know
Because she happily screams out loud, "I love you too"
