Remembering

by Victoria   Apr 23, 2006

Eyes so full of color, brown
So deep, I drown
Hair so dark, black
No, I'll never go back

I remember the day,
When I held you in my arms,
I looked into your eyes,
And you made me feel so warm.

All I could think about,
Was your lovely smile,
And how I could stay,
In that one spot for a while.

As I ran my fingers,
Across your face,
I get so caught up in the moment,
And I lose my place.

Never could I imagine,
Living my life,
Without you by my side.

*This poem is for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and for my dearest sweetheart Donald, who passed away in 2004. I love them very much.
