A new love, a new feeling

Losing something so important
i didn't think i could ever move on
but somehow as it turns out
it didn't last so very long

a new person stepped in
one that was always there
he was right in front of me
but i didn't seem to care

i finally see now
that someone cares for me
it was hard to notice him
b/c i didn't want to see

i didn't want to move on
but now i know it's time
i realize what I've been missing
while i racked through my confused mind

a simple kiss is all it took
to make me forget where i was standing
i came back to life later on
knowing what my heart was demanding

i feel like i could tell him everything
like he would not judge me
i think I'll slowly begin to put my life together
and be all i can be

i have to give this guy a chance
have to give him a try
b/c he is better than holding on to something
that only makes me cry
