A touch of red (and a tear for love)

by Unrequited   Apr 25, 2006

Sweet vermilion
piercing thru black skies.
each draw of breath
brings me closer to the grave.
i scream for you.
i will bleed for you.
i need to feel it,
your blinding touch.
let me feel it,
just one more time before i expire.

breech the silence,
break the distance.
love me today,
or kill me tomorrow.
but the fact remains
that i will die for love-
and you are worth it,
no matter what you say or do.

so as i watch the bleeding red
cut thru the dark gray clouds,
i cry myself to sleep,
waiting for your touch,
waiting for my heart to breathe once more

You should apitalize your eyes and try not to shorten words like through. It's a good concept but when people do that it just makes the poem have an awkward feeling to it not matter how great their word choice is, at least to me.
