Peering into the heart

by Ruth   Apr 25, 2006

Peering in at the window
All he sees is red,
The red of all his life
His heart begins to dread.

The way he feels is all so clear
He can't realize what was said.
The fights, the pain, he wants to work through,
Just so once again, he can be with you.

The love he holds is oh so dear
The feelings for her will never disappear.
He finds her beautiful, smart and fun
And as they laugh he says "you are prettier than the Sun!"

As time moves on and they drift apart
All that happens with thy heart
Is that which she did not want
The hurt, the pain, the depression
Of what once he had
And now must be forgotten.

He wants to stay
With her forever
In her life someway,
But how, Is there a way?

What he does not realize
No matter how hard he tries
Is the truth behind her big green eyes.
That she loves him more than the world itself
And tares her apart, and without health
She would want to be,
As close to you as can be.
