Secretly, I'm jealous
of her sparkling eyes.
Even on days when she feels ugly,
I'm not convinced, no matter how hard she tries.

We're the same,
sometimes I see,
when our habits and jokes
match from pea to pea.

We know not to take each other too seriously
except for at a few little times,
like when we're talking about our relationships with God
or when she's reading my mediocre rhymes.

She's the only one I trust
to hold my diary in her hands,
and when it comes to her poems,
I'm her biggest fan!
