Together For Eternity

by tabithaa   Apr 25, 2006

Blindly, I watch you walk away and softly whisper goodbye.
I Hold my head up sadly, and silently start to cry.

You were my only lover, you were my only friend.
How could you just walk away and bring this to an end?

You glided like an angel, brightly dressed in white.
Leaving everything behind, going into the cold night.

The wind blew around you, your hair blew around your face.
Every trace of imperfection and sadness had been erased.

Your eyes sparkled for the first time in so long.
You looked so peaceful and silent, as if you could do no wrong.

I heard your voice pierce the silence, washing all my sadness and fear away.
'I love you more than you'll ever know, more than words can say.'

I looked throughout the darkness, trying to see the light.
I knew i wouldn't be OK, without you I wouldn't be alright.

I screamed your name so loudly, 'Please come back to me!'
I need you here beside me, for eternity.

That is when I felt you, Reach out and grab my hand.
I knew that you could hear me, that you could understand.

We walked into the darkness, the light illuminating us.
We walked slowly, we had no need to rush.

I was no longer worried, I was no longer scared.
As we stepped into the light, I was already prepared.

Together forever, we'll never be apart.
Our love will grow stronger, and envelope our hearts.

My Black gown of sadness, your black suit of fear.
We can wear them with pride, now, for the feelings have disappeared.

We no longer feel a thing, no, nothing at all.
Except for the love, deep in our hearts, the best I can recall.

We are cold and heartless, We have died in vain.
Because we were so blind, lost in our own pain.

However, we rest silently, coffins tightly closed and cold.
Thinking about how we left so much of our story untold.

We were so young, we just wanted to be together and free.
And now we, six feet under, together for eternity.
